Purple Garden

The concept for this courtyard garden grew out of the clients love of dark foliage plants. Purple became the main theme of this garden, and the color is subtly knit through the various materials.

Bands of purple and burgundy leaved plants provide texture and color, and are contrasted against a deep purple perimeter fence. Bluestone paving is accented with bands of black brick that extend across the space and create dynamic interest. Low flowering trees provide a semi-transparent screen to the courtyard, allowing filtered views in and a friendly street presence.
